Keigo Kimura is a Japanese painter born in Kyoto. A student of Kayo Yamaguchi, he is known for his vibrant depictions of flowers, trees, and animals, expressing the vitality of nature through rich colors.

He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Japan and abroad, and has also created temple wall paintings and artwork for the NHK historical drama Genroku Ryoran, establishing himself as one of the leading figures in contemporary Nihonga.

This work depicts the Jindai Zakura, a legendary cherry tree said to be around 2,000 years old.
