Eikai Satake was a painter active during the late Edo period. He served the Ii family as an official painter of the Hikone Domain and studied Nanga (Southern School painting) and sketching techniques under Tani Bunchō. He specialized in bird-and-flower paintings and landscapes, and is known for his refined compositions and delicate brushwork.
