Michiko Aizawa was a Western-style painter active primarily within the Nika Association.
A pupil of Seiji Togo, she steadily built her reputation within the postwar Japanese public exhibition system: first accepted into the 47th Nika Exhibition in 1962, she went on to receive a Special Prize in 1966, the Associate Member Award in 1971, and the Members’ Encouragement Award in 1975.
