This decorative panel is crafted using the traditional Italian technique of Pietre Dure, a highly skilled form of stone inlay.
It is believed to have been produced in a workshop around Florence during the early to mid–20th century. The precisely assembled variety of natural stones reflects the remarkable craftsmanship of the artisans of that period.

The angels holding musical instruments are motifs commonly found in altar paintings and religious artworks.
The design appears to draw inspiration from the Florentine school, particularly the works of Fra Angelico.

This piece was installed on the wall of a foreign resident’s home in Japan for more than 30 years.
A portion of the original mounting materials used for wall installation remains on the back.

Natural elements such as fine stone cracks, subtle color variations, and joint lines are inherent characteristics of Pietre Dure works. These qualities contribute to the unique texture and profound beauty of the panel.
